HOW LONG WILL THEIR 15 MINUTES LAST?

the twang, these 'lads' have been touted as 'the next' Oasis, Kasabian...whatever, by NME, or should I say Smash Hits. Truth is they sound like Northside and Flowered Up, which wouldn't be a bad thing if it was 1991, not 2007. New Music....I don't think so, but then we are living in an age of retro-lution, where there is nothing new. Anyway see what you think, have a listen. Here's some of their demos:

The Twang - yet another Oasis/Kasabian hybrid. I'm not sure how you feel about Oasis but I was discussing them with a mate the other day and we're of the opinion that they're one of the most nonsensically arrogant and luddite bands of the past twenty years. They compare themselves to The Beatles, but where is the experimentation and exploration of unique ideas? There isn't any and The Twang seem the same to me.
I like your blog - very thought provoking. If you fancy checking out some new music me and my mate have an entire album available to download for free if you go to

I'm not sure how best to describe it. I usually just say 'wonky guitar pop'. Check it out if you have time. Cheers.

Cheers Dunstan. Oasis, aaah, yes, erm. Cool Britania and all that. Did like first album, but after that and all their self-posturing, nah. Went to Knebworth and that was it for me like cattle in a field, people walking round selling any old shit that had Oasis wriiten on it. Pissed up idiots etc. Saw the Manics and went home. Nothing is new anymore, no matter what the NME say, it's down to us to use the tools we have been sold to spread the word that things don't have to be the way they are through blogs, etc. Have checked yer blog, like it. Will check yer album out. Thanks for commenting. Keep on blogging in the free world.
